Have you ever wondered why the number of breast lifts and breast augmentation in Colombia cases are growing every year now? In the early times, most women are still scared undergoing reconstructive and cosmetic surgery because of a large number of complications that the surgery has created to patients. However, in the modern times, there a large number of medical developments that have enhanced the capability of plastic surgery in achieving the desires of patients with minimized health risks and complications.
In the field of plastic surgery, breast augmentation and breast lift in Colombia are the most common type of cosmetic surgery. Breast augmentation in Colombia handle changes in shape and size of the breast depending on the patient’s desire while breast lift in Colombia handles the shape or contour refinement of the breast to tighten up the skin and make it firm. Breast lift in Colombia has been associated with breast augmentation because most patients undergoing breast augmentation in Colombia is due to the result of sagginess caused by stretched skin.
There are two types of breast lift:
1) Full Breast- lift: inverted –T or anchor incision plan is used in full breast lift where three incisions are being made. The first incision is in the inframammary fold where the breast meets the chest; next incision is made at the upper-edge of the periphery of the nipple-areola complex and the last incision is at the lower edge of the nipple-areola complex to the inframammary fold incision. Full breast-lift enables plastic surgeon to perform maximum correction to the breast in eliminating excess skin due to sagging and inelastic skin envelope. Since there are three incisions made, there are also three scars generated after the surgery. Each scar has its unique healing characteristics.
2) Modified breast-lift: this kind of plan has lesser cuts and scars compared to the full breast lift; however, there are limitations on the number of corrections that can be made by plastic surgeons to the patients. The three common techniques used in modified breast-lift are lollipop lift, Benelli breast lift, and crescent lift. Lollipop lift has incision located at the upper edge of the nipple-areola complex and a vertical incision located at the lower edge of the nipple-areola complex periphery to the inframammary fold. Benelli breast lift or what they commonly refer as a donut lift involves a concentric ring incision around the nipple-areola complex. Crescent lift has a crescent shaped incision located above the nipple- areola complex. It supports elevation of the nipple-areola complex section to its new area on the breast hemisphere.
